Big Youth Debate

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of attending Reigate and Banstead Youth Council’s annual Big Youth Debate. It is always great to see young people getting involved and preparing to become the leaders of the future. I opened the topic of “Should manufacturers be banned from using plastic packaging?” and was impressed by the wide range of evidence based viewpoints being presented. I am looking forward to keeping in contact with the members of the youth council in future as Surrey Young Mayor and ensuring that they benefit from meeting other Surrey youth councils at my upcoming Surrey Youth Voice event.
